5 out of 5 stars you don't need a spa when you have this game!   May 2, 2010

oh, how relaxing this game is to play. you get to dive for as long as you want, recording marine life and befriending cute little dolphins that you can even name. a wide diversity of marine life such as whales, around 6 species of dolphins, seals I think, manatees, etc. the story line is easy to do and quick to complete which leaves more time for diving fun! over all, I felt myself relaxing as I played this and would rent it again. highly reccomened!!

Endless Ocean: Dive, Discover, Dream

Only few weekends, kids love exploring new experience in underwater. But then, other game come to play, leaving Endless Ocean Dive on the shelf. So I can't say how good this Endless Ocean Dive is because they are 6 and 4 yrs old.

5 out of 5 stars Relaxing Exploration   March 14, 2010

I bought this game as I'm not into the intense games or violent games. It is very much a relaxing laid back game that I get lost in. I come home from work and pop this in and enjoy it to the point I've lost track of time just exploring the game. I read other reviews and I agree with the top ones. If you are wanting action this is not a game for you. It is more for someone that loves marine life and exploring. One review mentioned it brought back childhood nostalgia of venturing in the woods behind the house and turning over rocks and searching for things just out of curiosity. It is more geered in that mindset. However you are looking for glimmers instead of overturning rocks. Another factor I did not see in the few reviews that I have read before this is you train a dolphin as your diving partner - actually you have three diving partners as the game goes on. I have two at the moment and the more you interact with them the better they are at responding to the whistle as well as pointing out hidden fish. You just have to learn when they make their whine they want your attention to come look.

Pros:
Exploration at leisure
Training Dolphins - this is minimal though but I like this part
Variety of marine life

Cons:
-color variety is sketchy but it is still a good makeup
-the chars dont talk, its reading text which is a bit annoying but not that big of a deal
-customizing your char is limited

5 out of 5 stars Great Wii Game Difficult Wii connect   February 22, 2010

I agree with all of the great specifics from the other reviewers. It is a lovely, pretty, diving game. We bought a Wii system for our father on the premise of being able to Wii Connect and play games with him. As he is older and lives acorss the country, this novel approach of additonal engaging with him was anticipated highly. However, if you have an internet connection that does not have wide enough band width you cannot connect to other gamers. How dissapointing! We will be moving to a city that has modern internet conncections and will be able to resume our attempt then. It would have been helpful had Nintendo placed this informtion out in the open for the consumer to find it and make an informed decision. That being said I look forward to purchasing part 2.

This game is one of the most realistic experiences of diving! Being an experienced diver myself, I was amazed by the life like creatures, and coral reefs. I highly recommend this to anyone, it is great with a glass of vino!
